Actually, the question is a little different. The real question is whether or not society is better off without an entrenched idle rich class. I think a good example would be Saudi Arabia, perhaps you can comment on that. Another example, though not quite as good, would be Leona Helmsley. Leona was a Social Darwinist, she felt she was inherently better because of her wealth. Such an attitude, combined with the power that wealth gives is something that degrades society.
