BTW, "72 sects" is a reference to an attributed saying of Mohammed that after his death Islam will branch out into 72 sects (considered a number greater than Jewish and Christian sects) and that only one of those sects shall have it right. This was of course later used by each sect to claim self righteousness rather than self introspection...

Hafiz has an interesting poem on the dispute, (and I am speaking from memory)

Excuse the war between the 72 sects,
They could not see the path of truth,
And so they walked the path of fiction.
