Neo, Its the demographics. China is aging and has no safety net. Traditional safety was with the family - that is now gone. Having said that we will see China improve through growth and hard work and then decline as their population ages. The conventional wisdom concerning China's place in the world is misplaced - it belongs to India. The bonus (or maybe the reason) is that India is a democracy. John
