OK. Well I think your original question has more to do with how I would judge Bush than what my conscience tells me about him. The function of a personal conscience is to guide one in taking a position on, and acting on principle, or not... The 'not' case implying a refusal to act on conscience.

I don't really have a lot to say in judgement of Bush. He appears to be a person who is 'handled' a lot by his constituents. That is only the impression I get from my far distant vantage point. From a first impression, I am guessing that I would be uncomfortable having him as a guest at my dinner table but that is based on his public persona. I might actually enjoy him otherwise ... hard to tell.

I don't think the case for invading Iraq was solid but I was not a fan of the Saddam Regime or the sanctions. Now that it is a done deal, I hope people will encourage the best possible outcome and where applicable struggle to help; which is to support the people of Iraq in securing their autonomy and peaceful coexistance in the global community. I dont believe that is possible if we cut and run at this point. However if we suddenly pull out I could be proven wrong.
