Dollars to donuts one of the books was The Disinherited by Fawaz Turki: amazon.com It is compelling reading for those interested in understanding the traditional Palestinian point of view. I can understand how it would heavily influence a young mind. Interestingly enough, Turki's views changed dramatically over the next 20 years as his later memoir, Exile's Return: The Making of a Palestinian American, reveals. It appears to be, unfortunately, out of print, but the Amazon review provides a glimpse: amazon.com
