More than a little sense there. Be warned, though, that tazer guns are currently the subject of controversy in this country. They are supposed to be a non-lethal disabling weapon, but have been accused of killing several people. The other half of the story that the anti's never mention is that if cops always had to use guns, there would have been a lot more deaths.

Plenty should be reassigned to jobs more suitable for their talents.
Man and his organizations are not perfectable and unfortunately that sometimes means innocents die. Nobody wants it; it happens.

Let me ask you something, though: suppose that guy HAD had a bomb and HAD exploded it on that bus. You might have ended up with 10, 20, 50 people dead. What would you be telling us about the incompetence of the London police force then?

Let me give you a contrast: I have been in Mexico and Central America many times. I stay clear of cops there- -as clear as I can. I never ask them questions or directions; that's an invitation to a shakedown. Cops are corrupt and for sale there. There cops are also ill-trained and armed and dangerous. Particularly as a foreigner, you can expect little justice from their legal system.

I was over in your country a bit over a year ago and expect to be again in a few months. When we were there, we often asked questions and directions of the bobbies. Your cops don't engage in the sort of behavior I have personally seen south of us.
