Weeds growing in a field where GMO canola had been grown were herbicide resistant so it had to be because of the GMO crop. Could it have been because that type of weed had naturally developed a tolerance to the type of herbicide used? Was there a soil test? A lack of certain trace minerals can keep a herbicide from working. Was a DNA test done on the weeds to see if they had picked up any genes from the canola? What was the modification to the GMO crop? A real farm publication would have included all that and more.
