The RNC lied and said Plame sent Wilson on the trip. She had no authority to do so, therefore that is impossible. Why shouldn't she recommend him to her bosses for the trip? He's the #1 expert and was available. It's not like it was some pleasurable trip. It was dangerous and unpleasant. Niger is the armpit of the world. Wilson did it not for profit or pleasure but out of patriotism. And because the CIA asked him. His wife's boss, not her. Wilson has never lied. He is a bona fide American hero. And you bastards smeared him.
