Dear Sector Investor,
It took more than just plain luck. You had the foresight to understand that networking is an institution, not a fad. That is, you saw depressed stocks as an opportunity rather than a "serious" warning sign. Then you had the courage to act.
I've noticed people asking Dan for more gems, and I would like to mention three I have in mind: ASND, FORE, and XYLN. I've only just become interested in these, so forgive me if they are bad ideas. There might me some negatives I'm not aware of.
The shares of all three have really tanked, but their financial histories look spectacular. I know ASND had a loss last report due to some one-time charges I think were anomolies. Xylan was probably just overpriced from the beginning, and I'm not sure what's up with FORE.
Is anyone more familiar with these. They remind me somewhat of MRVC: smaller, more nimble networking/communications companies than COMS, BAY, and CSCO, but apparently with good technology and products and huge growth potential.
Thanks for any feedback you might provide.
