International Sports and Media Group Announces New President Manolo Cevallos; Yan Skwara is Elected as New Company Chairman of the Board 7/28/2005 1:50:16 PM
LOS ANGELES, Jul 28, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- International Sports and Media Group, (ISME), a diversified Sports and News Marketing and Communications firm, announced today that Manolo Cevallos has been elected President of ISMG. Yan Skwara, ISMG's former President, will continue with the company as newly elected Chairman of the Board. Gordon Lee will remain Chief Executive Officer.
Manolo Cevallos, who is currently 51 years old and a resident of Los Angeles, Ca., has worked in the area of sports promotion as well as handling various forms of sports media for over the past 25 years. Mr. Cevallos has had over two decades of business experience in the promotion of professional International soccer matches here in the United States and abroad bringing an incredible business history and client base directly into ISMG. Cevallos's addition to the ISMG team is also a major step for the company in adding the promotion of International soccer matches to its current revenue model.
With Mr. Cevallos as the new President of ISMG, he will promote at least 8 events per year both domestically and internationally. Mr. Cevallos is currently finalizing contracts with several Latin American countries which include the rights for promoting soccer games around the world and the media rights for those soccer teams as well.
Here is an example of the type of revenue opportunities that Mr. Cevallos brings to the table: ISMG can promote a soccer match between El Salvador vs. Ecuador in Los Angeles. A crowd of 30,000 fans will pay an average ticket price of $40 per ticket. Just this area of business can easily bring $1,000,000 in revenue per game just from ticket sales alone and not including sales of merchandise, sponsorships, concessions and parking which can add several hundred thousand more to the bottom line.
Gordon Lee, CEO of ISMG, stated: "We are very excited to have Manolo Cevallos join the ISMG management team as we are looking forward to the opportunities in the International Soccer promotions arena. Mr. Cevallos's experience and unique area of expertise will be of great assistance to the mission of ISMG long-term. For the past year, we as a company and its shareholders have worked hard on developing a business model, including beefing up our management, that can enhance shareholder value. Through the promotion and marketing of International soccer matches, we will be able to bundle revenues with our other soccer related marketing products we have developed as well. Being that many of our games will be broadcast on Television, this will also create significant revenue opportunities by utilizing our Text Messaging 'SoccerAlert' service. We will reach a high number of viewers per game both in the stadium and at home. We are planning on running different Text Messaging campaigns at each game charging an average of $1.00 per text message."
Lee continued, "We will also add every game to our library at www.soccertv.tv where subscribers can watch the games around the world either archived or pay per view. Fans can sign up for our SoccerAlert SMS service online. With this subscription the fans will always be immediately updated on what is happening in the soccer industry both in the United States and around the world directly through their cell phones. The promotion of our international games will also be a great marketing platform for our private label Energy Drink Division."
