When high ranking politicians are calling each other liars, we can usually determine by common sense that neither is clean, and that the truth lies somewhere in the middle.

It is pretty well known that the Taliban infiltrates the military of Pakistan. It is also well known that Musharaf is sitting on a powder keg of civil discord over the role of Pakistan. The Taliban forces extend from Pakistan into Afghanistan and permeate various levels of operations there also. Individuals change their minds and are Taliban one day and anti-Taliban another.

For the leaders of Pakistan to deny any military collusion is disingenuous and for the leaders in Afghanistan to claim the collusion of the Taliban is some sort of covert policy of Musharaf is ridiculous.

For black and white thinkers (evil-Bush vs Saint-Bush), it is probably easier to digest the article you just posted; where finger pointing is more convenient that dealing with harsh realities.
