"...wing nuts from either wing."

I am sorry to say, that I am exercising my option to change my mind on this.

Clearly we all have experience and perspectives that we bring to an open forum. The underlying premise on this thread is that we will bring facts, perspectives, experiences, and opinions to the discussion and that we are free to use sound reasoning to get some benefit from that.

I have been frustrated for some time with people that I have presumed to be locked into some sort of extremist ideology or agenda. I grant that there may actually be some of those people but there are several here who appear to be 'required' to stick with a particular rhetoric.

It is too obvious when people skirt around rational discussion to deliver the same old sound bites for the millionth time.

I vote that people be required to disclose any influences baring on them that are outside of free thinking or entangled with it: Like being paid to promote an agenda, preparing to run for office on a particular platform, or as an advocate for some office or agenda.

I will start: I am not being paid to post and represent only my personal desire to stay informed and grow through interactive discussion.
