It's not at all an exageration. Around 55 million people died in WWII. Here's proof: angelfire.com

It is you who spend most of his time excusing Muslim violence. I believe that a group of people have a right to self-defence. I also believe that when one group of people start going on a rampage of killing across the entire world, it is incumbent on the world to fight back and to wage strategic battles to ensure that the instigators are brought to heel. If the world is not willing to shoulder this burden, then sometimes a great power has to do it alone.

The Middle Eastern Muslim extremists declared war on the West. We retaliated in Afghanistan and then decided that Iraq was also of long term strategic interest to ending Muslim extremism. Whether or not that was a good calculation has yet to be decided. You think it was a poor decision. Others think this will take a decade or more to play out. I think the signs are already there that Iraq will be able to emerge a free, prosperous, peaceful, Democratic country. But as you have accused me many times, I am an optimist.
