2) Private schools teach a strong moral framework that helps young kids build a foundation of values that will last them a lifetime. Public schools simply don't come anywhere near to it. I know, because my kids experienced it. I can see that in most cases public school teachers expect the parents to teach the kids morals. Whereas, in my private school, my teachers were like parents away from home. Having parental figures at home and at school is a doubly reinforcing mechanism for ensuring that the right morals are sinking in.

On the contrary, I learned my sense of morality in public school. BTW how much morality do you think those parochial school students learned from the priests who molested them? And those molestations were known not just by the kids who were molested. I am not saying that there aren't any religious private schools that are good because there are. However, there are also bad ones. In addition, there also were some very bad things happening in those schools, perpetrated mostly by the priests. Finally, in this state, private school teachers on average make only 96% of a public school teacher's salary. One of the guys in my class is 24 and teaching in a private religious school. He couldn't get a job in a public school because he did not have enough qualifications. That's why he is in graduate school.

Sometimes, I think you get caught up in the propaganda you learned growing up, and forget that as an adult, you get to see both sides of the coin........and more importantly, you have an opportunity to think for yourself and form your own opinions.
