What particular immigrants make up the majority of your clients? Mexican? Haitian? Canadian? Enquiring minds want to know. hehe
Cuban neighbor next door, daughter married a german, he hates this because the guy is not catholic, but told me it is better than mexican or haitian who are catholic. Told me he will be very upset if I sell this house to a "black" family. Money is green to me, that is the only color I see. I told him my grandfather was mexican, took bullets in ww2, earned his citizenship. 30 years ago when my father lived at this house he tried to get this guy to go into the army and fight in the vietnam war. Dad was a military recruiter. This guy tells me he is republican, hates cuba, hates communism, I said well nam was your chance to stop the spread of something you hated so much - we were there to stop communism no - my dad tells me you didn't sign up - what was the problem - this cuban grabs his arm and say my arm don't work so good - haha.
I said bullshit, dad told me he promised you a good desk job and you wouldn't have to take bullets. hehe House was being rented to cubans. Section 8, only had to pay 125 a month at the end and palm beach housing was paying the rest - an area where rents are 1200-1400 a month. Ran the house into the ground, quit working her job, was lying on her taxes and lying to palm beach housing, stopped paying us the measely 125 and because she had friends in the right places took 6 months to get her out. I don't want to bring more people like that into this city - do you think I should? Why let people come here who dont wish to add anything but only take take take? I have little patience for a hypocrite or silly liberals with hidden agendas. I have the utmost respect for a cuban that will welcome other immigrants with open arms and treat them the same way he was treated, the same for a mexcian, haitian or anyone else. When these groups come here and get entrenched and then start working only for thier own and to hell with the greater good - I have no respect left for them. I try to explain to the cubans in the area my mother and father and people of the time welcomed you with open arms, why are you not extending this courtesy to the new influx of immigrants - they walk away and don't want to talk anymore when I am not about advancing thier cuban agenda. I go over to the mexican community - same problem. Have not mingled heavily in the haitian community but I bet it is going to be the same problem again. That is not a melting pot. That is a powder keg - hehe. Crime and poverty is pretty high in this area - what is your phone number - I am sure some new immigrants are gonna need some of those good health plans you offer. I will send them your way. |
