Fair enough. I totally 100% agree that the conservatives on the Supreme Court were on the right side of the eminent domain decision. I was appalled by that decision. It went against the spirit of our Constitution and our economic system. Private property is the lynchpin of our economic system. Taking private land for truly public works is fine with me, like roads and water projects (society has to be able to build infrastructure and can't let mavericks stand in the way). That's why the government was granted eminent domain power. But, to take someone's private property just to give it to another private entity who can make more money off of it is just plain wrong. The liberals were on the wrong side of that decision for sure. I didn't agree with their logic even if the ends were good (redeveloping blighted areas). It's a matter of principal.

I have to also hand it to the three ultra-conservatives on the Court for taking a stand in favor of states rights for medical marijuana. They were right on that issue as well. The feds have no business sticking their noses into state marijuana laws.
