China has trade surplus plus FDI plus speculative inflows. All come in USD. Who and how is going to buy USD from China? The best way for China is to return USD back to US, but they can't it do that. They are not allowed to buy even Unocal. If they try to buy something tangible in other countries then USD will become a hot potato as no one will be willing to exchange tangibles for piles of USD.
