Frankly, you've painted me into an argument corner, since nobody knows what Jesus taught. Not the evangelical churches, and not me, and not you. (Or as Ted says, we don't even know for sure if he existed). I suspect that he didn't preach the church as a pyramid scheme, that he would be anti-war, that he preached charity to the poor above all else, and that he didn't say a lot on birth control or abortion. Not in alignment with today's political evangelicals. Can I prove it? No. John
