Possible Reasons for Somatogen Stock activity:

There is International conference in progress in Tokyo now, Sept. 8,9,10 and Somatogen is making 12 presentations there. Could be reaction to some of those presentations.

Next week Tuesday, Somatogen is making presentation at DLJ Growth stocks conference in New York. Chairman Andre DeBruin is persoannly presenting along with CFO and Chief Scientific officer. Somatogen is given full one hour of presentation time!

Trials for Open Heart are proceeding smoothly with no unexpected side effects or problems and good patient accruals.

First set of data from open heart studies due out before the end of the year.

Talks with potential partners are actively going on. No firm announcement likely till the end of year.

Somatogen sending annual report to shareholders in next few days. They are also sending simplified scientific information to major shareholders and other interested parties in next few days.

Much of this information based on my conversation with Somatogen today afternoon.
