Carl thanks for your data it seems that the data on both companies is not current. Company told me last week return on equity was 14%. Company has shareholder equity of 20mil earned 2.3 mill in net income for this year. Also in regards to your friends statement that Cash America uses a more conservative method a accounting than First Cash.
In 1995 Cash America took a 19 million dollar charge for their aggressive accounting practices and now uses the same accounting principles as First Cash, just thought you might want to know. I like both companies but own First Cash primarily for their faster growth rate.
