Cisco Systems links with top China PC firm
BEIJING, Sept 10 (Reuter) - Cisco Systems has signed an agreement enabling Legend Group, China's top personal computer seller, to act as the U.S. computer network maker's sales agent, the China Daily said on Wednesday.
Legend Technology Ltd, one of the group's six subsidiaries. would distribute Cisco's middle- and low-grade products, it said.
Legend was China's top seller of personal computers in the first half of the year, state media has said.
Legend also hoped to cooperate with Cisco to bring cutting-edge networking technology to China, the China Daily quoted Legend Group vice President Guo Wei as saying.
``Our goal is to become a supplier of the full range of network products in China,'' Guo said.
Legend Technology, sales agent for Toshiba, Hewlett-Packard, and Hayes in China, hoped to use its experience in working with big companies to distribute Cisco's products, he said.
