NuVox Communications of Greenville, South Carolina will now offer
VoIP-based calling services in throughout that state. The company's
VoIP-based calling service called VoxIP, was launched to businesses in
the Midlands earlier this week, making it now available in markets
across South Carolina, including Greenville and Charleston.

"Over 6500 businesses in the Columbia, Greenville, and Charleston
areas have already seen the value of NuVox services, and we are
excited to expand our communications solutions to include VoxIP," said
J. Pendleton Gaines, VP of Marketing for NuVox. "Through an
easy-to-use portal, we are providing customers greater bandwidth and
exceptional control for handling calls. VoxIP is analogous to having a
'personal assistant' on all extensions which routes incoming calls to
wherever you are -- allowing you to be more mobile and productive."

In an official news announcement released today, the company explained
that VoxIP has the "ability to maximize dedicated Internet service
with a minimum of 768 Kbps of bandwidth, even with 24 calls in
progress simultaneously per T1 and a robust Web portal for real-time
changes to service."

Today's announcement follows the company making VoxIP available in
areas in the state of Florida and Cincinnati, Ohio earlier this month.
The company also announced the availability of VoxIP in the Atlanta,
Georgia towards the end of May.

The company joined Sonus Networks, a supplier of service provider VoIP
infrastructure systems, earlier this year as NuVox introduced its new
business VoIP service to be delivered over a Sonus-based network.
Building on their existing long-distance network, NuVox expanded their
network, which includes Sonus' GSX9000 and Insignus Softswitch, and
broadening its suite of services in order to deliver IP telephony
applications to enterprise clients.
