as to delusional, even that is 'not really', as worldmarket.blogspot.com observes, investing in china may not be entirely about making money, but about survival, because for the clear-headed multinationals who refuse to participate in the blood fest, they will wither and die in any case, whereas should they choose to duke it out, they may survive and have a chance still

and none of it has anything remotely to do with what washington says or does not say

for the us companies TOLD not to invest in China and ordered to go to India, if it can actually happen that way, i wish them the best :0)
