I skimmed that lengthy post, in general I believe it to be correct but it leaves off another very important fact, perhaps not known to the author. That is Japan, like Germany was working away at secret weapons, particularly jets and very close to fielding them. A few more months and it could have been very bad indeed for allied forces. jdn
