It's hard for me to imagine the left taking radical Islam seriously enough to make peace with the right. The left and the Islamists have a common enemy. "Imperial America." This has a huge influence on the lefts approach. It would take a couple of subway bombings here to get them to shut up about what we need to do. They will never be enthusiastic about any fight against Islamists.
