I'm not sure how reading what people say, and thinking they mean something by what they say (something that is a societally agreed upon way of taking a word), is fundamentalist, or even judgmental (except about the word "partner"- and if we make no judgments about what words mean, how do we decide among various meanings?). Would you care to explain that? I can understand how the reaction to the interpretation might be fundamentalist, but I can't see how just thinking the word means what we know we define the word to mean is fundamentalist.

Looking forward to your explanation.
