Feinstein is now sandwiched between her thoughts of Roberts candidacy and the thoughts of the women in this country. She says she is very impressed with Roberts after she met with him one-on-one. But at the same time she will vote "No" for his candidacy if she determines that Roberts would take away a woman's reproductive rights. It would be interesting to see how Sen. Feinstein, the lone woman member in the Judiciary Committee, goes about finding that out and if she cannot determine that in the face of White House refusal to release some of Roberts briefs in the early 90's, how she would vote. She is being closely watched by NOW and all the other women in this country.
