Miller didn't write a story about Plame. Who told Fitzgerald about her involvement, whatever it was, with it?

Time Mag was/is a defendant while the NYTimes is not. That's also a major difference between the two. Cooper wrote a story and Miller did not so how did Fitzgerald know Miller had info he needed?
