tigerpaw, re: We could tomorrow if we tried. It has little to do with wanting to or trying - it must be economically feasible and acceptable to the world not just the USA. If you believe in the global warming, China and India will be much bigger problems in the near future than the USA. China today mines and burns more coal that the USA, it won't be long before they also consume more oil.
