IF Bush were so "opposed" to embryonic stem-cell research, he would never have proposed ANY of that type of research and suggest that the Government pay for it.

He didn't propose any such thing. He acceded to it. Do you recall how he agonized over that and how he reluctantly conceded the research on existing lines of embryonic stem cells? Did you notice that he has signaled that he will veto the pending bill? Sounds like a guy who disapproves of embryonic stem cell research to me.

No matter, though. I was just wondering if you had seen anything where he endorsed the private research only because I would have been surprised.
