It does strike me as somewhat amusing, karen, that you, whom I think usually supports the Government spending less, not more. Private industry seems to be doing the research right now.... If the Government does manage to give more millions of dollars to this, who do you think it should go to? Surely the Government itself doesn't think it can compete with private industry, does it? If not to the Government from the Government...doesn't it all boil down to politics.... again... Congress seems not to be able to fight their way out of a paper bag to get much of anything done,including finding a UN Ambassador. What would give us any great confidence that the Congress could even do this correctly?
