Locally the evangelicals are trying to ruin the schools because it promotes more paid attendance in their private schools. They want to keep the public schools, but only to warehouse the poor and underachievers.

I would not be surprised. Its too bad because all but the weathiest private schools that I've seen don't have the facilities that public schools have.

Of course, there is a bigger issue...............if we keep running from our diversity, how can we remain on top?
