My favorite German insularity appears when you name you name your children. It must be one of the names from the book of Official Vornamen. If you wish to call your child an unregistered name, you must obtain approval from the German court system.

Needless to say, there are no Arabic or Muslim names in the Vornamen registry nor are there likely to be any time soon. Nor will you find Moesha, Li, or Betty.

People who suppose that Turkey's entrance into the EU is not almost unimaginable, are simply unaware of the local conditions in the original EU nations.
