The United States has a wide variety of special forces (nicknamed “snake eaters”). One of the most famous, due to Hollywood portrayals, are the SEALs. Amazing...after all that research, the writer defined his premise wrong. The United States has one Special Forces...The Green Berets, an all Army org. Everyone else is Special Operations or a Special Operations Force. And the term snake eaters refers specifically to Special Forces and has since I completed training in 1962.
