I read several articles by Alexander, and recently ordered and read his book - "Investing in a secular bear market". I think I understand his overall concepts. He is trying to integrate several different cycle theories, including the long Kondratiev wave, and see how they work together, and if he can derive forecasts out of them. Looks like he can - he predicted the turn of 2000. In 2002 he concluded that real estate would NOT top before 2004, or maybe later... which was also a good call.
