Bill Frist is not a Democrat. When he came out publicly against BUsh on stem cell research, it made big news since it is the Republicans who are beholden ideologically, not the Democrats.

Roe v Wade goes beyond a political ideology. Hence it does not belong to any political party, much less to a particular individual such as Feinstein. The women view this as their right which the men are trying to take away, Else why would the two women justices on the Supreme Court favor it. One woman was appointed by a Republican President and the other by a Democratic President.
