We are talking about security cameras, and petty thieves on another thread. Like those who stuff things in their pockets, shoes, underware. -gg- expecting people to drive safely is foolish. You can never trust others to have your best interest at heart, or to be responsible. You must be proactive and surround yourself with an auto that will be most effective in protecting you and your loved ones.

There was recently a case in Seattle where a young woman had just gotten off of work and was driving to her home. A large piece of furniture broke loose from the back of a pickup truck directly in front of her on the freeway and splintered apart upon impact with the pavement sending a large board through her windshield hitting her in the head. She lost one eye, and the other isn't much better, broke several bones in her face and was in a coma for months. Her entire world has been destroyed as she can barely walk, certainly will never work again or realize her dreams of a career a husband and a family, and to add insult to injury, the man that owned that truck didn't have a stitch if insurance. Her mother has had to quit her job to take care of her daughter, and they are relying on the charity of doctors and strangers to help with her mult-million dollar hospital and therapy bills.

That board would have gone through any windshield.....even an SUV.

Bottom line......stay away from large loads and big rigs. And don't tailgate. 1 car length for every 10 miles per hour is the rule.
