ENGlobal Announces Notice to Proceed on Sulfur Recovery Project

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 1, 2005--ENGlobal Corporation (AMEX:ENG), a leading provider of engineering and systems services, today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, ENGlobal Engineering, Inc., has signed a Notice to Proceed with a major U.S. refiner. Pursuant to the Notice to Proceed, ENGlobal will provide preliminary engineering services for the construction of a sulfur recovery facility for a large West Coast refinery. ENGlobal and the client are negotiating a definitive contract to be executed in the near future, with the proposed contract having an estimated value of approximately $19 million. ENGlobal Sulfur Group, based in the Dallas area, will primarily perform work on this project.

The facility will be designed and constructed as modularized units, with the project consisting of a sulfur recovery unit, a tail gas treating unit and an incineration unit with waste heat recovery. In addition to design engineering, ENGlobal will provide material procurement and construction services, with the entire project scheduled to be completed in the third quarter of 2006.
