At 1 Gbps gives 100 Mbytes per sec (8b/10b encoding).

For a max. FC frame size of 2k bytes requires a latency
of 2 microsecond to startup.... simple physics.
Once routing is established, routing latency is immaterial.
What Frame size is anchor referring to ?
What markets are they planning to sell into ?
Data-mining, data-warehousing,mass-storage ?

Using a 64 byte frame size to hype performance figures ?
cut-thru routing with 500ns latency actually sux with
the kind of frame size they are dealing with.....
way to go ancor..... about the only thing they have done
right is integrating 4 ports onto a single ASIC
But then, my sources tell me brocade already has working
8 ports per ASIC..... they are just sitting on it & waiting to
market it...
afterall they dont wanna kill the booming biz silkworm is
doing, right ?

what's the next trick, ancor ?
