Yousef: Re Cymer rumors.

Cymer rumors abound. And I could speculate and add to the abundant creativity diplayed on the Cymer thread but I have total confidence in the technical and managerial capabilities of the company, have held it with positions starting last September, and understand where they're going. I think anybody who has been involved with technology startups understands why the analysts conferences were the way they were and the news was as it was. Maybe I need to drink a whole lot more coffee to get as anxious as other Cymer investors on the Cymer thread. This isn't to say that CYMI doesn't and won't have challenges. I'm sure they will. I really feel that they have an excellent ability to manage the many dynamics of the growth phase. However, I would say that if the customer backing out/excess inventory scenario is true.... to me so what? The opposite will happen some quarters in the future also and it's normal even in an excellent company. In a nutshell alot of people are overreacting because they bought into a company they don't understand.

WRT SVGL I can easily understand (but maybe wrongly) why its orders are not as they'd hoped, however that should change soon and even moreso in the future as 193 systems come on line in manufacturing. I've started to watch SVGI but don't see a compelling reason to buy now.

Regards,
Bob
