"The mystery of life is just that."

A mystery, you mean?

I agree of course.

But, if we restrict the discussion to just science education in the public schools --- although I have no problems with a free-wheeling spirit of inquiry, and believe it's better then fine to mention all kinds of theories, probable or not, as a way of exposing children to the proper scientific method --- the question becomes: how much *weight* to you give to various things?

Theories (a short-hand way of saying: 'the current state of knowledge') should be taught with some connection to the weight of available evidence, and the weight of the scientific community's beliefs about current knowledge from verifiable test results.
