Tony, You have moaned and groaned about big guy/ little guy differences. Check out LGND's intraday chart at Lombard. There is no large block swaping taking place. Small (retail) trades are going off at the bid (15 15/16 for most of the day) and after enough have been traded, a large block goes off at 16. Its been happening for a couple of days now (almost all large blocks are at the ask). Anyone can see this. When the diabetes deal is announced an LGND gaps higher, little guys will be moaning and groaning about only being able to buy after the news. However, the trading pattern is very evident before the news and a small buy at 16 yesterday would have been easily filled.
