Analog Devices Provides Preliminary Results for Third Quarter of Fiscal 2005 biz.yahoo.com NORWOOD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 2, 2005--Analog Devices (NYSE: ADI - News) today estimated, on a preliminary basis, its revenue for the fiscal third quarter ended July 30, 2005 will be in the range of $580 to $585 million, down approximately 3% to 4% from the immediately prior quarter. This revised revenue estimate is below the guidance of 0% to 3% growth communicated on May 12, 2005, due primarily to an estimated $23 million sequential decline from the second quarter in sales of GSM/GPRS base band chipsets to wireless handset customers in Asia. Wireless handsets represented approximately 10% of revenue in the third quarter.
