hey, it's got Persians (fake and real), a housing bubble, and Jennifer Connaly, how can you miss? when it came out, somebody here i think said it marked the top, since films always seem to mark the tops of their respective bubbles. but since it came out, the average owner of a house of sand and fog is probably up a half mil. actually, the book is better and goes a lot more into the Persian stuff. but even in the movie, i thought the little bald guy did a pretty good job. his wife in the film apparently was a famous actress in Iran back in the day.
