It is a shame for this democracy that a small group of people could manipulate the electronic voting system and commit fraud. Martha Stewart was jailed for a minor crime. Ken Lay is still free after stealing money from a significantly large group of people. But what do you do with Diebold's CEO when his machines defraud the entire nation. What should be his punishment. In Bush speak, the one with the smallest crime gets the maximum punishment.

Alameda County to reconsider Deibold voting machines

OAKLAND - Alameda County supervisors today said they would revisit an agreement with Diebold Election Systems for a $6 million upgrade of its touch-screen voting system, responding to problems the system showed in tests last month.

"The issue will be revisited and all options will be considered,' Board President Keith Carson said.
