"Researchers in Ohio are concerned that a provision in the state's budget will prevent any state taxpayer funds from being used for embryonic stem cell research. Gov. Bob Taft has his 10-year, $1.6 billion Third Frontier technology budget on his desk to be signed, but the scientists want him to remove the ban from it."

Gov. Taft is a pretty techie guy. He just last week had himself implanted with an RFID chip. I think he is the first public offical in the US to do so. Since Ohio is the lead state for prison inmate tracking one wonders if they will beat CA to the punch on full implementation of Alanco's TSI system. He seems to like the idea of Auto-ID.
