"Republicans want the maximum penalty if a law was broken. But it hasn't been established which law, if any, was broken and by whom."

I used to believe this. I hope it is still true. So, if Rove, Libby or anyone else is indicted after this tremendously long, detailed search by an impartial investigator, first appointed by Bush the First, and the indictment (which carries quite a bit of weight by itself) leads to conviction or plea deal......the republicans will be howling for the maximum penalty? I wonder.

If Rush Limbaugh is charged, then convicted, of doctor shopping or whatever, will republicans howl for the maximum penalty for Rush? I wonder.
