not sure what would be the difference between a mortgage bubble or a housing bubble, it is all related.

One thing I noticed when I make my rounds with my old real estate contacts that is quite different. There is an air of complacency. For example, during the 2003 refimania, my title friends are very concerned. Yes, while they are doing fantastically well, they all realized it was going to end and are preparing for it. As a result, many cut staff too early and ended up short handed for refimania Part II.

This time, while they all seem to agree that we are in a bubble, AND it is not going to last, there does not seem to be much concern.

The stage may be set for panic reaction, if the markets slow down more abruptly than they are preparing for.
