John, re:I'm hearing and reading that there is an incredible amount of violence taking place in Iraq that is "unreported" (sorry, no link). Essentially an underground civil war between the factions. 1000's being killed. My kids best friends father is a private security specialist in Iraq (ex-special forces). He's been in Kirkuk Iraq for about a year now - he comes home often and just returned for a few days this last monday - if I get a chance I'll ask him about that. Last time he was here I didn't ask him about things in any detail - he just said things were a lot quieter than before. Quite for him is probably pretty noisy for us civilians.
