I spoke here months ago about solar powered cars. Didn't attract many replies. What I recall was mentioning how little space they have to accommodate the cells, or something like that. Those older models still worked though. With todays tech I can see them more efficient for sure. They make sense for most sunny states at least. Roll bars etc. would be needed, but with carbon-fibre tech. that should not add too much weight.
